Velore Brown,
Institute Director

With over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, Velore Brown has made her mark as an agent, associate broker, managing broker, real property appraiser, and Michigan Property Tax Assessor. Currently, she is the proud owner of a real estate brokerage firm in Savannah, Georgia. Velore holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from DePaul University in Chicago and possesses over twenty real estate-related licenses, designations, and certifications. Throughout her career, Velore has held numerous leadership positions, including Scholarship Chair, Education Chair, President-Elect, and President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Savannah. She has also served as Treasurer for the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Georgia and has served on the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Professional Development and Forms committees. Velore is recognized for her excellence in education, holding the REEA Diamond Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI) designation and Gold Standard Instructor (GSI) certification from the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA), as well as the Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI™) designation. Her teaching experience includes serving as a Certified National Instructor with The Real Estate Negotiation Institute and a Pre-License instructor at the Real Estate Career and Development Center in Savannah. Currently, she teaches as a Georgia Pre-License instructor with the Colibri Group, a global leader in real estate education.

REEA Diamond DREI Designation

This designation was created by the Real Estate Educators Association to set the standard for excellence in real estate classroom instruction. Regulators and others can be assured that a real estate educator who has earned a REEA Diamond Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI) designation will exhibit a mastery of subject matter, proven presentation ability, relevant experience, and superior teaching skills. The REEA Diamond DREI program is administered by the REEA Diamond DREI Leadership Council which is elected by the REEA Diamond DREI membership. The REEA Diamond DREI
designation is a classroom teaching designation that adheres to the Generally Accepted Principles of Education (GAPE) adopted by REEA.

REEA Gold Standard Instructor - GSI

The Real Estate Education Association (REEA): REEA’s Gold Standard Instructor Certification, a three-part Instructor Development Workshop – (IDW) series, is designed to enhance instructor delivery and improve student learning. REEA understands the importance properly skilled instructors play in creating a highly engaging learning environment for students. The curriculum for the series of IDWs is critical training for both new and current instructors.

Certified Distance Education Instructor - CDEI™

The International Distance Education Certification Center (IDECC®) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the mission of promoting quality in distance education through the establishment and monitoring of standards for course delivery. IDECC’s Certified Distance Education Instructor - CDEITM designation program prepares educators to teach professional and academic courses, to adult learners, via a variety distance-education delivery methods, including online and virtual courses.
